To further promote scientific and technological cooperation in cancer between China and the ASEAN countries, National Cancer Center of China (NCC), with the support from National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, is going to hold a Training Program for Cancer Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment on December 16-18, 2020. All the scientists, doctors and scholars from ASEAN countries working in various fields of cancer are welcome to participate.


THE GOAL OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM

• To contribute to decrease the cancer burden by capacity building of cancer standardized diagnosis and treatment, and to cultivate the leadership of scientific and technological talents in the field of cancer in ASEAN countries.


TARGET PARTICIPANTS

  • Doctors or researchers engaged in cancer diagnosis and treatment in scientific research institutions or hospitals in ASEAN countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam;
  • Related working experience (at least 2 years)
  • A good communication in English or Chinese are required.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates who focus on cancers of lung, colorectum, and esophagus in China and ASEAN countries.


TRAINING FORMAT

  • The training program will be held on Dec 16-18, 2020, where all participants and speakers will meet online during three days. A Kick-off Webinar will be held on Dec 16th afternoon, which includes the opening remarks from China NCC and other invited officials, plenary sessions by some invited speakers and the introduction to the training program in the next days. On Dec 17-18, 2020, participants will take the online modules for training on cancer standardized diagnosis and treatment, including lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and esophageal cancer, respectively.
  • Access to the online training program will be granted upon confirmation of admission. The invitation to the virtual conference will be sent in one week after Nov 30th, 2020.
  • Participants are expected to be present and active throughout the full duration of the training program. The online time will be automatically calculated for each participant. When the training program is completed, each participant will receive a certificate issued by China NCC once they submit the final report as requested.
  • The training program is conducted in English or simultaneously interpreted into English for the whole process.
